Batman Costumes for Kids in 2010 are nothing like when I was growing up. If you found a cape and made your own mask and didn’t severely injure your little brother by convincing him to jump off the roof with the costume on then you wore it for Halloween! Seriously, I am amazed at the various kinds of Batman Halloween costumes that they have. They have got the classic Batman costume from the TV show, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, a muscle Batman, a collectors Batman Costume, a Batman and Robin tandem and even a PINK (yep…you read that right!), pink Batman costume! Every size, gender, adult or child is represented this year. Not to mention the Batgirl and female Robin costumes that they have. There is nothing left to the imagination regarding the World’s Greatest Detective costumes anymore BUT if you are one of those persons that likes to make most of their own costumes, then we have the accessories to go with it like, utility belts, bat-a-rangs, capes, facemasks (sometimes called cowls), etc. Batman is as popular now than he was 71 years ago when he first graced the cover of DC Comics. My toddler grandson will come running into my den with the costume cape he has kicking out every unseen foe and thwarting their evil plans. He is big into the Batman cartoons that he watches and has been after his Mom (but especially his Grandpa!) to get him his very own Batman outfit and guess who bought it for him…his Grandma! It is funny…the Caped Crusader was my hero when I was young and now he is my Grandson’s…the more things change, the more they stay the same!
