For those people who remember or have had the chance to see the transformers animated cartoons you will probably all agree that they were some of the best cartoons ever made. Saturday mornings were always met with great anticipation by kids who had been looking forward to the latest installment of a cartoon about the Autobots against the Decepticons. Optimus Prime actually started out as a robot called Orion Pax. He had been rebuilt as the civil war on the planet Cybertron was waged. At this time he was not actually a transformer. When the Autobots’ ship crashed into earth, they ended up inside a volcano. They remained there in stasis for millions of years until an eruption of the volcano brought them out of their suspended state.

It was at this time that Optimus Prime and the other transformers were programmed with disguise modes so that they could operate on Earth.
